The Ability To Relax And Rejuvenate is Critical To Your Results.
In fact, if you don’t take the time to relax and rejuvenate, stress often increases and productivity decreases.
Having just returned from my annual trip to Kauai, Hawaii, it is easy to understand why so many of us think we need a vacation to wind down. And yes, there is certainly something to be said about getting away from the day-to-day grind. The real secret is to incorporate a practice of rejuvenation into your daily routine so that it becomes as common as brushing your teeth. This practice provides the framework needed to consistently operate at peak performance and avoid the burnout that comes from overworking yourself.
Understanding the importance of downtime is critical to your ability to unwind, so you can recharge. It is also a vital secret to becoming a millionaire, a top producer, or a success at achieving anything.

Research shows that incorporating downtime on a regular basis is just as important as the action we take!
Part of refueling includes getting adequate sleep. Experts agree that you need between seven and nine hours of sleep per night to properly recharge. Rarely will less than seven hours of sleep be an adequate amount of time to allow your body and mind to rejuvenate. The result is often that you will operate at sub-par performance. People who brag about getting by on four to six hours of sleep per night are fooling themselves. They are also dramatically increasing their odds of obesity, cancer, diabetes, and other health problems.
Another important habit for rejuvenating is to stay properly hydrated by drinking adequate water. While experts vary on the “right amount” of water intake, a common recommendation is to drink 50% of your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, drinking 75 ounces of water each day would be ideal. If you participate in physical activities, you may need to drink more water. Always check with a qualified advisor before making changes in your diet or exercise routine.
Your mental state is also important, including your thoughts. Strategies to control your thoughts such as focused breathing, meditation, chants, and yoga can be very effective. Taking a walk, watching a funny movie, reading a personal growth book, or other activities can also do wonders for re-energizing your focus and excitement for achieving your goals and dreams.
Including quiet time in your daily schedule provides you space and can allow you to attract what you want in your life.
While we each need to find out exactly what works for us, taking time to rest, relax, and rejuvenate on a regular basis will do wonders for your business and your life.
